The aim
of
the Armavir project is to investigate the site as a cultural
center
from the end of the fourth millennium BC until the end of the
first
millennium BC.

Results: |
The excavations at
Armavir will expose the architectural character of
two types of
temples and, with the help of the archaeological materials
expected
to be found at the site (cultic ceramics, statuettes, alters with
bones of sacrificial animals, etc.) allow archaeologists to
reconstruct the
rites and rituals of the Urartian period.
