Anticipated Results:

While there are many books published on the subject of the khachkars of Armenia, there are none on the subject of the khachkars of Karabagh.  With reference to their distinctive symbolism, imagery and language, Dr. Petrosyan will portray the uniqueness of the khackhars of Karabagh.  The book will provide undeniable historical and archaeological evidence of ethnic Armenian cultural identity in Karabagh from the time of the Middle Ages.
